Unomed AG is a Swiss software company based in Zurich. Three founders, an advisory board drawn from practice, and a product that takes over the manual work between the systems.
Our remit
What Unomed takes over
In Swiss healthcare the information has been digital for years. It just does not flow. It gets printed, retyped, faxed and entered a second time, and the time lost that way is time that belongs to patients.
Unomed starts where the manual work starts: between two systems that do not talk to each other. We do not replace a practice management system and have no intention of doing so. We take over the steps in between.
That is an unglamorous job, and that is exactly the point. A practice does not need a platform that redoes everything. It needs back the hours that go into forms and double entry today.
Origin
How Unomed came about
Unomed began as a cloud tool for small and mid-sized businesses. Until we met Matthias Jacobi, a physician and the IT lead of a large Swiss group practice. He looked at the same tool and asked a different question, namely why nothing like it existed in healthcare.
That question turned into a year of rebuilding. The tool for SMEs became a platform for practices and clinics, developed with the people who use it every day. The company stayed in Zurich, and the data stays in Switzerland.

The founding team
Three routes into the same problem: computer science, artificial intelligence, law and business administration. Working with us means dealing directly with the people who build the product.

Operated in certified Swiss data centres, encrypted, under the Swiss Data Protection Act. No detour through other jurisdictions, not even for a single processing step.

Nothing leaves without your approval
Whatever Unomed prepares waits for a person to confirm it. Automation without that stop would not be defensible in medicine, however well it works.

Unomed runs alongside the system you already have. Migrating a practice means stopping it, and that is a price nobody should pay just to save time.
