Unomed Flows · AI automation
Home on time. Unomed automates, you approve.
With AI automation, Unomed Flows prepares referrals, findings and dictations in your existing practice software. Your team reviews the results and approves them. No system change.
Your workflow
What does your practice still do by hand today?
Describe it in one sentence. Within one working day we will tell you whether Flows can cover it and what that takes.
- No programming
- No obligation
- Answer within one working day
How it works
When that happens, Unomed prepares this.
Every workflow in Flows has the same shape. You pick triggers and steps from a list, no programming. The last step is always the same: you look it over and approve it.
When something happens
A document arrives, a dictation is finished, an appointment is coming up. That is the trigger.
- a referral arrives
- a consultation has been documented
- a lab result comes in
- an insurer asks a question
- a DICOM study arrives
- a prescription renewal is requested
- an email lands in the practice inbox
- a dictation is finished
Then Unomed prepares it
Read, match, draft, enter, put it up for approval. As many steps as the workflow needs.
- extract the data
- match it to the right patient
- suggest codes
- write a report
- enter it in the practice system
- send it encrypted
- file it in the record
- put it up for approval

Workflows
AI workflows for your practice: choose a template or configure a process.
Ready-made templates are available for referrals and ICD-10 suggestions. Other processes are configured from triggers and steps, with our help if needed. We check which steps fit your practice and can be carried out in your software for the specific workflow.
Ready-made templates
-
Template
When a referral arrives
Then create the patient in the practice system, transfer the master data, confirm receipt to the referrer
- read the PDF: name, date of birth, insurer, referrer
- create the patient in the practice system
- confirm receipt to the referrer
-
Template
When a consultation has been documented
Then suggest ICD-10-GM codes and enter them once approved
- read the documentation
- suggest matching ICD-10-GM codes
- enter them in the practice system once you approve them
Possible workflows
-
When a PDF lands in the practice inbox
Then name it to your convention and file it in the right record
-
When a dictation is finished
Then structure the report, write it into the practice system, shorten the referrer version
-
When a lab result comes in
Then match it, flag values outside the normal range, sort by urgency
-
When a refill request comes in
Then check the preconditions and put the prescription up for signature
-
When an insurer asks a question
Then collect the supporting passages and draft the answer
-
When a DICOM study arrives
Then match it to the case and give the referrer secure access
-
When a report has been signed off
Then deliver it securely to the patient
-
When an appointment request arrives
Then propose slots and enter the appointment once confirmed
-
When an accident insurance case is opened
Then pre-fill the form from the existing record
-
When an invoice is due to go out
Then check it for rejection risk beforehand
Your process is not listed? Describe it above in one sentence. We check how it can work with your practice software and help configure it if you wish.
What AI automation handles in your medical practice
AI reads different documents and drafts suggestions. The workflow determines when steps run, where the results belong and who approves them. These four examples show what your team reviews. The specific process is configured and tested for your practice.
-
Capture referrals
- AI prepares
- Patient and referring doctor details are extracted from an incoming PDF. Flows prepares their entry in the practice system and the confirmation of receipt.
- Your team reviews
- Do the patient match and extracted details agree? The prepared steps are carried out only after your approval.
-
Assign findings to the record
- AI prepares
- Document type, date and patient details are read from the findings. The workflow prepares the file name and filing in the proposed record.
- Your team reviews
- Do the findings, date and proposed record belong together? An unclear match is resolved before filing.
-
Structure dictations into reports
- AI prepares
- The dictation becomes a structured report draft. Steps for entry in the practice software and a version for the referring doctor are defined in the workflow.
- Your team reviews
- Are the medical content and recipients correct? You review the draft before it is entered or sent.
-
Suggest ICD-10-GM codes
- AI prepares
- Flows reads the documented consultation and suggests matching diagnosis codes. Coding is prepared as a step in the practice process.
- Your team reviews
- Does the suggested code fit the documented diagnosis? The responsible professional decides which code is entered after approval.
Integration
Works with your practice system
Unomed works directly in the interface of your software, the way your practice assistant does, only without the typing. What you see on screen, Unomed can read and fill in.
- No access to your database, nothing is changed in the system
- Every step stays visible and traceable, nothing runs out of sight

Security and data protectionQuestions about AI automation with Flows
What does AI automation mean for a medical practice?
AI automation combines reading and drafting by AI with a defined process. In Flows, an incoming referral can trigger preparation of patient details and a confirmation of receipt. Your team reviews the results and approves their use. Flows supports work in the existing practice system.
Does Flows work with our existing practice software?
Flows works on the interface of the practice software. For supported processes, the practice does not need to develop its own integration or switch systems. The listed systems provide an overview; we check the required steps and permissions for your specific process. For desktop programs without a browser interface, we discuss the connection with you.
What happens if a suggestion is wrong or a match is unclear?
AI results can be incomplete or incorrect. Review proposed details, matches and texts before approval. If something is unclear, resolve it first. Medical decisions and the selection of diagnosis codes remain with the responsible professional.
Where are patient data processed and are they used to train AI?
Unomed Flows is hosted in Swiss data centres. Your patient data are not used to train AI models. The data a workflow processes and the access it needs are defined during setup. Details about data protection are available in our privacy policy.
How do we set up our first AI workflow?
Describe a recurring process and the result you want. Together with you, we check the software involved, choose triggers and steps and define approval. The process is tested before production use. For common processes, you can start with a ready-made template.
What does AI automation with Flows cost?
The first completed workflow is a one-off free trial without payment details. After that, packages include a number of workflows with usage-based charges for additional runs. A cost ceiling limits the bill. Current packages and prices are on the Flows pricing page.
Free in the basic version, no setup fees.
The first workflow is set up in 30 minutes.
