Cloud Storage
Practice data in one place, not in five.
Documents, images and DICOM studies sit encrypted in Swiss data centres. Opened in the viewer, shared from the conversation, processed further with Unomed Flows.

The problem
The filing sits in five places.
In most practices it grew over the years and was never decided on. Each single place had its reason. Together they make a filing system nobody can keep track of any more.
-
The server in the back room
It runs until it stops running. Someone set the backup up years ago; nobody has ever restored from it.
The outage comes without warning
-
The consumer cloud
Quick to set up and convenient day to day. Where the data sits and who has access is in terms nobody has read.
Patient data leaves the practice
-
The e-mail attachment
Version 3, version final, version final_2. Which one counts is decided by whoever replied last.
No authoritative version
-
A colleague's device
The folder is on the laptop that goes home in the evening. When she leaves the practice, part of the filing goes with her.
The filing belongs to the device
It becomes apparent on the day someone goes looking for a document that is six months old.
The filing
One place, and it belongs to the practice.
No drive for someone to look after, and no account the filing hangs on.
-
Areas
Personal and shared, kept apart
Every user has their own area, the organisation has its shared one. What belongs to the practice stays with the practice, even when an account is deactivated.
-
Viewer
Open instead of download
PDFs, images and DICOM open in the browser. No copy is left on the device, not even on a private phone on the train.
-
Rights
Roles and permissions
Who sees which folder is decided by the practice. Access can be withdrawn without files disappearing.
-
Routes
Straight from the conversation
Whatever arrives in the chat is filed with one click. Whatever is filed is shared straight back into the conversation.
Working together
Filing that is connected to the workflows.
Storage is worth as much as what happens to the files afterwards. At Unomed it sits between the modules rather than beside them.
-
Unomed Messenger
File from the conversation, share from the filing. Whatever arrives through a form lands in the same folder.
See Messenger -
Unomed Flows
A flow reads what sits here: name it, match it, code it, write it into the practice system. After your approval.

Unomed Radiology
DICOM studies open in the same viewer as a PDF. Anyone on Cloud PACS has image and report side by side.

Each module works on its own. Start with one and the second is half set up.
Operations
The part you do not have to look after.
Storage only relieves a practice once it occupies nobody on the team. Four things that therefore do not sit with you.
-
Certified Swiss data centres
Stored encrypted, compliant with the Swiss FADP and the GDPR, with no detour through other countries.
-
Backups and updates run along
Both belong to operations, not on the practice's to-do list.
-
Nothing to install
Access runs in the browser, and on the move through the mobile app.
-
Grows without a move
From a single practice to a group across several sites, without the filing being moved a second time.
Pricing
Storage comes with the free account.
Connect Basic costs nothing and brings the shared storage with it. You only start paying once the space runs out or the team grows past 25 people.

Frequently asked questions about Cloud Storage
Where is our data stored?
In certified Swiss data centres, encrypted and compliant with the Swiss FADP and the GDPR.
Do we have to download files to look at them?
No. Common formats open in the viewer, PDFs and images as well as DICOM studies. No copy is left on the device.
Are there separate areas for a person and an organisation?
Yes. Every user has a personal area, the organisation a shared one. Whatever sits in the shared area stays there, even when an account is deactivated.
Does anything have to be installed?
No. Access runs in the browser, and on the move through the mobile app.
What does the storage cost?
The shared storage comes with the free Connect Basic package, with 1 GB for up to 25 team members. Pro lifts both limits.
Can we file DICOM as well?
Yes. Studies can be filed, viewed and shared. Anyone who needs an image archive of their own will find it in Unomed Cloud PACS.
Does the storage replace our practice system?
No. Unomed does not replace a practice management system. Whatever belongs in the medical record is written there by Unomed Flows, after your approval.
What happens when someone leaves the practice?
The account is deactivated. Files in the shared area stay where they are.
Getting started
Start with one folder.
The storage comes with the free account. Open an account, invite the team, create the first shared folder.
